I don't understand why this "wild card" idea is still being talked about. It is clear at this point that is absolutely not happening. I have no
idea how the rumor got started, but it is clear to me at this point that it was no more than a rumor. Besides, it would make no sense to reward someone who
didn't even make Top 12 with a spot on the tour. Also, with 10 singers, the is no need at all to add more performers.
I'm considering going to the tour for the first time ever. I liked all of the top 10 as performers except for Ramiele and Archie, so I think I would really enjoy the show. Has anyone gone before? How long do the shows run? Is there is opening act, or is it just the Idols? |

Barracuda Performance Nixed From the Tour Remember that trio for the tour David Cook mentioned in his EW Idolatry interview? It had Carly Smithson singing "Barracuda" with Jason Castro on drums and Cook on guitar. Sounds pretty sweet, doesn't it? Too bad! According to some Castro insiders on Idol Forums, the entire number has been pulled. Also, a request for a Brooke White/Jason Castro duet (Jason said on Larry King Live that he'd like to do a duet with Brooke) has been denied by TPTB. There are lots of rumors swirling around about why the song was nixed. The prevalent feeling is that TPTB don't want to bring "too much attention to certain Idols" at the expense of others. Who knows? One thing is for certain, some of the Dreadheads are kinda pissed and sending out emails to everyone they can think of. Whoops! |

boo...that is so lame. maybe the dreadheads will get some results with their email campaign.
i'm so conflicted abt trying to get tickets....i really only want to see david (and carly), but i just don't know if i can wait for an independent tour! although at this point, i'm sure it will be ridiculously expensive to get any kind of decent seat. |

I'm going to the tour. Although the price was a bit high my seat should be good, esepcaillg since it's in KC. The place is going to go nuts.

In terms of group chemistry, "I think we all lucked out this season," says Cook, an Idol newbie before this year. "We've all been able to put our egos in check and enjoy the ride." He admits he hadn't watched a single episode of Idol -- "not a one" -- and was unfamiliar with the personalities. Although "I do know Kimberly (Caldwell)," he says, grinning. (He's dating the Season 2 finalist, but she's not here tonight.) On his rare days off from touring, he's in L.A., working on his post-Idol album. "I can tell you I've done quite a bit of recording in the last 10 years of my life, and to have the resources that I have now, it's unreal."
